Messages for the Family, Friends, & Fellow Students of Taylor Behl
Janet, Matt, family, friends, and fellow students of Taylor:
When I started this website, I had the greatest hope that Taylor would come home safely. It is so tragic that this did not happen. I would like you to know that I share at least some of your devastation. I know what I feel cannot compare to your anguish.
On Wednesday, when I received the first notification of the discovery of the remains, posting the updates to this site became increasingly more difficult. Several times my eyelids overflowed, and I had to stop to regain my composure. I cannot begin to describe the loss I felt. I do not know any of you, and I did not know Taylor.
I wish there were something that I could do to take on even some of the burden and the pain that you are suffering. Please know that the thoughts of my family and close circle of friends are with all of you. We shall all pray that you receive the strengths necessary to make it through the coming weeks.
I must also say that I have gained a lot of respect for you during the past month. Your stoicism, despite the many emotions that you had to be feeling, as well as your aggressive campaign to keep Taylor's face in the minds of the public, only
emphasized the love and dedication that you have for Taylor.
Please, if there is anything I can do, or if there is anything Taylor's family wants to place on the website, do not think twice about letting me know.
Thank you to the handful of people that have helped with finding information, news stories, photographs, etc. Without your assistance, I could not have kept this site up-to-date and accurate.
With deepest regards and heartfelt condolences,
William Drummond

To Janet and her family:
My deepest sympathy and prayers are with you always. I am so overwhelmed that someone from our Vienna community is faced with this tragedy. It is obvious that Taylor has many friends and loved ones. My niece Jaciana Chuquillangui is also a freshman at VCU. Please don't hesitate if you need anything, cat-sitting or otherwise, and know how much we care about you.

My heart and prayers go out to each one of Taylor's family and friends. In your time of grieving, just remember that God is there to comfort each one of you as his loving arms are surrounding his newest angel. Stay strong, and take comfort in the fact that Taylor is now in a better place where suffering will not be remembered and happiness will be her's forever.

To Janet, Matt, Tracy and all of Taylor's family,
Each night, I sit with the children of my own and watch cautiously to the news broadcasting of Taylor's case. Each night we studied all of the pictures, journals, blogs and websites. We prayed for her safe return. Our deepest condolences are with you.
GOD WILL CRADLE TAYLOR IN HIS ARMS AND ALLOW HER INNOCENT SOUL A FULL LIFE OF ETERNAL LOVE AND SERENITY. MAY YOUR CHILD REST IN PEACE IN THE GRACIOUSNESS OF THE LORD.

How can I express my deep gratitude for what Taylor has done for my life? Is it her sunshine smile? Is it how she smiled, so honest and full of love? Yes! It is all of these things that make Taylor and her attributes so special.
Working without ceasing on Taylor's case gave me an awareness of how people can draw strength from a beaming little freshman in college. Her smile lit up my heart. She alone gave me the strength and will to go on. I prayed daily that our Lord and Savior would take me instead of her for I would change places with her if I could. Yet, it is what our Lord wills, not ours, but His will is everything.
Therefore, with all eagerness of heart I will wait. Yes, I will wait with the patience that is God's love; I will wait until He calls me before I get to meet Taylor, your daughter. Taylor's presence, whether in photographs or in person, simply changed lives in ways inexpressible to me. Consequently, my life has changed and I thank my God in heaven for just being able to see Taylor's smile.
My heart and prayers go out to each one of Taylor's family and friends. In your time of grieving, just remember that God is there to comfort each one of you as His loving arms are surrounding His newest angel. Stay strong, and take comfort in the fact that Taylor is now in a better place where suffering will not be remembered and happiness will be hers forever.

Janet -
I am so very, very sorry for your loss. My sympathy goes out to you and your family whom I have not seen in so very long. We spoke briefly on the phone during your terrible ordeal and I truly do mean if you need an old friend to lean on do NOT hesitate to call me. You have my numbers. My door is open to you anytime. I do truly regret never meeting your daughter and could truly see you in her face with all the photos that I have seen.
Sincerely,

I was not fortunate enough to ever know Taylor yet she has touched my heart in such a big way. I'm only a few years older than Taylor and immediately took interest when I first heard of her disappearance. Not a day went by that I didn't sit in front on the TV and pray over and over that God bring Taylor home, well guess what, Taylor's home! She's in heaven where she'll never feel hurt or sadness again. I'm sure her beautiful smile is glowing remembering all that loved her. May God be with you all in this time of great loss.
To Taylor: If tears could build a stairway and memories, a lane, I'd climb on up to heaven and bring you home again, REST IN PEACE angel!

To Taylor's parents:
I know that no words will help you with your loss. But I would like to write that I think Taylor's dream has come true. I remember that she wrote on "MySpace" that she would like to meet someone who is kind: and I know she did. When I read on web sites and forums, how people that never met her are weeping for her loss, when I read how people prayed for her, how people contributed money, how people fell in love with her just from watching her pictures, with her incredible smile. Then I know that she met so many good and kind people. There was something in Taylor that was angel like, the
smile of an angel the looks of an angel. I am so sorry that I never met her, but you are so lucky to have known her, and to be her parents.

Dear Janet and Family,
On behalf of the Topintzis family, you might not remember us. We were with you in Belgium, Chris used to go bowling with you every Monday. Just to let you know that our thoughts are with you, and we have been following the case ever since the day Taylor went missing. Sorry to hear about your loss.

To the family of Taylor Behl,
I am heart broken after knowing this bright and beautiful young lady was taken from this world by what appears to be a monster. I want to express my deepest sympathy to her mother, father, and the rest of her family and friends. I didn't know Taylor, but I can tell that she was a very special and well loved young lady.
I know that no words could ever comfort the loss of a child, but please know that there are many people who are praying for your pain to end. I can promise you this: [While] you may not ever "get over" the loss of Taylor, you will get through it, and someday, the pain will not be as great as I'm sure it is today. I hope that memories of Taylor will comfort you in the months and years to come, and that God will help you through this trying time.
My thoughts and my heart go out to you. God Bless.

To the family of Taylor Behl:
I, too, have sat for long hours and watched this [story] come into my home, day after day. My heart and all of my prayers go out to you. See, I too, lost a close person in my life some years ago. She also died at college within 3 weeks of school starting. So until this happens to you, you cannot possibly know the feeling of this. It is a hole in your heart that will never go away. This person was my sister.
May God bless you and comfort you during this time. I will always remember Taylor and keep her in my heart, even though I did not know her. Stay strong for Taylor.

Dear Ms. Pelasara and Mr. Behl,
Taylor has touched my life. What an amazing girl! You can tell she was raised in a happy, loving way. She's a credit to your family. She will be remebered that way.

In your journal, the three things you wanted to do before you die were:
- Be happy
- Make a difference in someone's life
- Find real love
You have made a difference in more lives than you could ever have imagined and you have found oceans of love from people you never knew.
Rest peacefully.

To Taylors Family and Friends:
I am sorry for your loss. In this world, too many good people are taken from us in too quick a time. In your time of grief you can take solace in knowing she is in a better place and that her kindness and her memories live on through you.

Words can't even begin to express how sorry I am. I wish I could take everyone's pain away and bring Taylor home. However now we just need to remember what a wonderful, beautiful and amazing person she was both inside and out. I will always love her as a sister and a day won't pass that I will not think about her.
Now we all have another angel in heaven watching over us!

Dear family and friends of Taylor,
I'm sorry I don't want to take up too much space, as I never had the pleasure of meeting Taylor, though from the moment she went missing, my friends and I have been praying for her safe return. I can't imagine the pain you feel, as she seemed like such a sweet and amazing girl. I'm sure she is looking down with a smile, as she sees the strength,
love and outpouring of emotion both from family and friends as well as complete strangers whose lives have all been touched in some way by this beautiful angel we know as Taylor. I will continue to pray for Taylor, for the continued strength of her family and friends, as well as for justice to come quickly for those involved. God Bless you all.
Sincerely,
Camille
I didn't know Taylor, I received news of her death via a bulletin on MySpace, which I think is amazing. There are over 30 million people on myspace and the fact that this news has reached such far corners of the masses is really something. She must have been an incredible person and judging by the comments left on her wall, I have no doubt that she was. It's always terrible when someone dies, but when someone that you don't know in any way passes away, and the news reaches you via the internet and you see how many lives she has touched, it touches you too in a way. I was crying as I read the comments. Imagine that...crying...over someone I have never even met. Taylor, may you rest in peace.
Sometimes I think God is selfish, because He always takes the best from us.

As a member of a family whose son was murdered, I express my deepest condolences to all who knew and loved Taylor. There is no expression appropriate for you at this time, but please be comforted in the knowledge that all of her acquaintances, friends and fellow students loved and admired the good and dear friend that she was.
My heart is with you all now.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Taylor. I am very sorry for your loss. I did not know Taylor and had just heard about her through a MySpace.com bulletin. It is an awful thing that happened to such a pretty young girl who seemed to have so much going for her and so many people who cared for and loved her. Again I am very sorry and will keep you in my prayers.

To Taylor and her family,
I feel the deepest sympathy for you and Taylor's friends. I've read so much on her MySpace account and I saw, even though I did not know her, what a lovely young woman she was. I saw that what a caring, loving and funny person she was. And my prayers are with you in this dark time.
It was a shame to me to hear what a tragety had hit your family and friends. You were missing and if not enough, found dead. You will be reunited with your family and friends once again, when it is your time and their time. And you'll be radiant, beautiful and glowing.
Rest In Peace dear princess, heaven's awaiting you.

In our current society, we are faced with monsters. The kind that have no remorse, no kindness, no regrets [for] their actions. We are also given those who have hearts of gold, feelings of love, the touch of angels. We have lost yet another innocent person to another monster. To those who knew young Taylor, although I am not, by any means, a religious person, I offer my heart to all of you. If I believed in praying, I would still be on my knees for you. To those of us who never knew her, I hold a hope to all that you will never have to face such demons.
To everyone, be safe, beware, be there for everyone. You never know when. You just never know!!!!
With all my love and respect to friends and family of Taylor Behl, angel of Earth,

I didn't know Taylor, but reading her [MySpace profile] and hearing her story, I was touched. I have to do something. So, I'm going to send some of my allowance, and maybe some flowers, and hopefully this e-mail will get to the family and let them know that, they're not alone.
Obviously Taylor was an amazing person, with a heart too big to even describe. I hope, that, they read every single comment on her web page, because Taylor was left with some amazing people who love and care for her. I mean in a perfect world, this would've never happened, and because of a cold hearted person, it did. I am offering my greatest condolences.
I wish the family and friends of Taylor Behl, a world of happiness and peace, knowing that Taylor is in a wonderful place, smiling down on everyone who loves her.
Remember, never forget to smile, and you're always in my prayers,

To Taylor's family and friends:
She is a beautiful young lady and it is sad to see her taken from the world so soon. She is in a better place now. Keep her in your hearts. When you do not think she is there, she is always there, whether in the wind that blows or the sun that shines, or the rain that falls, or that bright star when you look up in the sky. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I am sorry for your loss. On my MySpace page I have dedicated a blog for her, that will remain up for a couple of months if not longer.

If only you knew how many people that don't or didn't even know you, care so much. You and [your] story have touched the lives of so many people. This really hit close to home. I don't live that far from you. It's unimaginable. I don't even know you but I grieve over your loss. So georgous, so lively... so young... I mean, geez... you're my age, and I still have my mommy tuck me in at nite, and you've been taken from this earth in such a fragile time of life. I pray for you in heaven, I pray for your mother and father on earth, I pray for anyone blessed enough to have known you.

I'm from PA and had no idea who Taylor was at all. I first saw her story on CNN and then i found her profile on MySpace and decided to look through it. I just want to say my heart truly goes out to her family and friends in the wake of such a tragedy. I too am a college student and could not image this happening on any college campus in America. Again, all I can offer is a prayer at night that everyone who knew her is getting through the tragedy as best as possible.

I didn't know Taylor, but this has really affected me. I send my deepest sympathy to her family and friends.
My name is D'angelo, I didn't know you but like everyone else I watched your story since day one. It was really touching. I prayed for your safe return, I went to the candle vigil. Home you came but not the way we wanted you to return. I don't know how can someone be so cruel to an angel face like you but now you are in a better place looking down on us and you are really and truly an Angel at the side of God.
To the Family of Taylor - You have raised such a wonderful soul, and I am truly sorry for your loss. I know it's hard to let her go but she is in a better place watching over all of you. She will never be forgotten.
To the person who did this - I pray and hope that you will get the death penalty. When you get caught, let them kill you twice and it won't be as painful as the pain you caused her family. How could you take an innocent life that trusted you? How do you sleep at night knowin that they are coming for you? You will be caught and you will pay. I hope to God that you die a painful and slow death with millions watching you taking your last
breaths.

Prayer of Saint Francis
Lord make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light.
And where there is sadness, joy.
O divine master grant that I may
not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love
For it is in giving that we receive-
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned.
And it's in dying that we are born to eternal life.
~Amen.
I pray Taylor finds eternal life.
Godspeed,

I just read about the terrible tragedy that has engulfed your family. It's times like these that make you look at people differently. Reading your profile it seems that you are as beautiful inside as you were on the out side. I will light a candle for you.
In heaven you will be able to look upon all the people that really loved you and I hope that it will make you smile up there. As for your family I can not imagine what they are going through. I wish them all the best and they will be in my prayers and thoughts. People say time heals all wounds but I bet time feels like it is standing still. NO one deserves to go in such a tragic way with so much life left, to be wrenched from the hands of their loved ones. But know that you will be all together again. And even though I do not know you I hope one day when I am dancing in the mist of heaven and the golden smiles of the Lord above, maybe we will meet. Until then, RIP.

The family of Taylor,
What do you begin to say to parents who have lost their only child? Being a parent myself, I cannot imagine what you are going through. I do not know Taylor but just reading her story and seeing her beautiful and caring eyes, I feel like I knew her. You should be proud to have had an amazing daughter, please do not let all the talk/speculation get to you. I truly beleive that in the end, justice is always served. Have faith and remember that one day you will be reunited in the ultimate resting place. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours!

Love is stronger than death.
So, I must be content to know that
love is not affected by death-
it doesn't end, it doesn't diminish,
it doesn't change.
Instead, love is immortalized
and eternalized through death.
And the possibility of that love ever
being damaged or broken
is eliminated forever.
I'll put my trust in love.
You'll always be loved by many of those who you know and thousands who you have never met Taylor.....

Taylor,
Even though I never knew who you were, you were such a beautiful person inside and out, that's clearly evident by all the messages people have left you on MySpace. May I please express my deepest condolences and heart felt sympathy to you for your loss. Please remember that even though she may be gone from this place, she will always be with you wherever you go...in your hearts, in your mind, in your memories, and in your soul. I can't fathom the distress you are going though, but I know that I feel the same pain and helplessness and want to know why these things happen as they do. Taylor had many friends, but now she has thousands more... people who didn't know her... people who had never met her.... people who had never spoken to her....people who are selflessly creating websites in memory of her, posting messages on her MySpace.com site, and journals, and countless other places.... and they all do the same thing....They remember her....they honor her...they express their sadness, they share a memory, and they will never forget her...I am one of those people...I will never forget Taylor and she will always be forever in my heart....She was full of life and she was very beautiful...She was truly an Angel..... and now she is where she belongs. She is safe from this world and was chosen to look after her family and friends... to safeguard them from evil, as they continue on...
May God Bless all who know and loved her, family, friends and others alike...
May God Bless Taylor Marie Behl....

My deepest of condolences to her family and friends. A friend directed me to her MySpace page Saturday and I spent the next hour crying as I read all the heartfelt messages from those who dearly loved her. My heart goes out to all of you as you mourn the loss of your friend, your family member, the soft soul who touched so many.
Thank you,

Unfortunately I did not get to know Taylor, but I would still like to show my respects. I have been following the story from the beginning. My parents get so worried tho I'm 28 because I go on amatuer model shoots [and] meet people [off] of sites and so forth. I do try to do things the safe way, but the [thing] is you never do know. I just hope justice is found for the family. My mother and I cried as we watched the father on TV when they discovered her, and he was talking about the planning of the funeral and he began to break down a little. To lose a child [before] a parent I know is hard only thru my sister's eyes, who lost a daughter under different circumstances. But we send our prayers to the family, and know that she will be watching over you. I could go on and on, but the main thing for the family and in Taylor's honor is to say God bless...

To Taylor's family,
My deepest sympathy goes out to you. I have an 18 year old sister that started college this year and I too have followed this story from the beginning truly expecting a different outcome. I don't know what I would do if I lost my sister so tragically. You must truly believe Taylor is in a better place and that God has different plans for angels. I couldn't imagine the terror she felt or the thought of never seeing her family and the people she cared so deeply about ever again. Please know that people all over the world are thinking of Taylor. She as well as her family will be in my prayers.
Best wishes,

A Letter from Heaven
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say;
But first of all, I'd like to let you know I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above,
Here there are no more tears of sadness, here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight;
Remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through
God picked me up and hugged me and said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; You were missed while you were gone;
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you badly, you're part of my plan;
There's so much that we have to do to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things he wished for me to do;
And foremost on that list was to watch over you.
And when you lie in bed at night,
When you think of life on earth and those loving years,
Because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry, it does relieve the pain,
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish I could tell you all that God has planned,
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is over;
I am closer to you now than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead and many hills to climb;
But together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was my philosophy, and I'd like it for you too;
That as you give unto the world, the world will give unto you.
If you can help someone in pain or in sorrow;
Then you can say to Got at night "My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented that my life was worthwhile,
Knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is feeling sad and low;
Just lend a hand to pick them up and on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street;
And you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only a half step behind.
And when it's time to you to go from that body to be free;
Remember you are not going; you are coming home to me.

As a regular MySpace member AND a mother, my heart goes out to all of Taylor's friends and family. I passed on the missing bulletin when it first came through my list, thinking to myself that this may end in tradgedy but hoping beyond hope that getting out the information would help. I cannot imagine losing my daughter, and I only wish the best for all of you touched by Taylor. It would be wrong at this juncture in time to mention the "justice" I wish bestowed upon the individual who took Taylor from her loved ones, so I will refrain out of respect. My only wish is that something good comes out of all of this outpouring of sorrow and loss. Taylor would have wanted it that way. So remember her smile, and her laugh, and her excitement. Remember the good things so that they may one day overshadow the bad.
Sincerely,

To the Family -
I think that Taylor would have liked this poem by Raymond Carver.
Late Fragment
And did you get what
you wanted from this life, even so?
I did.
And what did you want?
To call myself beloved, to feel myself
beloved on the earth.
Please know that she is beloved by so many who did not even know her, and especially by all the ones who did.

Dear Taylor's Family,
I never met or spoke to your daughter and I didn't hear what had happened until a friend let me know. My heart is breaking in two and I can't stop crying from reading everything everyone has said. I am a mother and I can't help but think that in a couple of years that can be my child. There is no pain like the pain of losing your child. I will be sending a prayer to you and the rest of your family for God to hold you in your time of need. There is so much I want to say but don't know how to express it but know that everyone is thinking of all of you and you are in everyone's prayers.
Thank You,
Dawn
Taylor,
It appears the world has lost greatly
but heaven has gained immeasurably.
Your loved ones needed your wonderful spirit on earth
but your spirit shined so brightly and wonderfully
that God must have realized
He couldn't seem to live another minute without you!
As for loved ones
The people who's lives you touched
They will find a way to go on
eventually one day
being thankful that they knew you at all!
Please tell my father hello and that I miss him!
With love,
JeTamme!
I didn't know Taylor, but she was everyone's daughter, little sister, friend. I literally feel like I can't breathe when I see a picture of her.
"The sky is crying, the streets are full of tears. Rain come down and wash away our fears......
She was made in Heaven... there was Heaven in this World. Now Heaven has taken her back."
My sincere prayers go out to her family and friends.

To the family and friends of Taylor Behl:
We are so deeply moved by what has happened to your daughter, your friend, your loved one. There are not enough words to say how sorry we are for your loss. We pray that whoever did this to your daughter, this young, bright happy life, will be found and brought to justice. When we heard the news, we were enraged, outraged and scared out of our minds, because we have children, teenagers no less, whom we also love and adore and would be so totally lost without them and even more so if their leaving this world was by the hand of another.
No amount of trials, will help ease the pain, but hopefully knowing someone so vile will die in prison or get the death penalty, will at least help ease the knowledge that, that person will never harm another soul again. Also the knowlege, if you are religious folks, of knowing he will or they will get his/theirs after they are gone, can help ease another tiny spasm of pain. Turn to your friends and family for support. They can be such a great strength in these times of need.
I cannot even imagine your pain; even now tears well up and my stomach knots up and I/we, do not even know your daughter, or your family. Just hearing and seeing about this type of thing is enough to make one ill.
Our prayers are with you and your family and all of those who knew Taylor and were close to her and even those who weren't.
My deepest condolences. I do not know Taylor but I have been having a hard time spreading the bullitens to honor her memory. I have tried to be there for those that do know her in some way and comfort them. I know she is in heaven watching over everyone that she loves, and I know that this memorial honors her greatly. I wish there was something I could do to ease the suffering that all of you are going thru. All that I can say is to remember her and all the times she was happy. Remember the times she made you laugh. I am sure she would want you to do that. I truly wish there was more I can do for all of you.
I am truly sorry. Taylor was a good woman. I know it from all the people that love her. I will do my best to do her memory great honor. I will do my best to comfort those I am in contact with that knew her.
This is all I can do for you Taylor. This is all I can do for your friends and family. I wish I could do more. My prayers and love are with you all.

Taylor's Family and Friends,
My heart aches and my soul weeps for your sorrow.
Occasionally, we are graced with the presence of an earthbound angel. They are unable to stay with us for long, but while they do, they bring unprecedented joy and happiness to all they touch. While they are here, we bask in their goodness and marvel at their contribution to the world. When they leave, we are left with the devastation that comes with losing such a wonderful being... but we must remember... the earthbound angels are not ours to keep. They are ours to enjoy, learn from, and behold until they return home.
IN THE ARMS OF AN ANGEL
Last night I dreamt that I could fly,
far beyond my wildest sky,
To a place where memory feels no pain,
where sorrow doesn't know my name.
I touched her hand, I felt her grace,
Her golden light; my upturned face.
And when the Angel's eyes met mine,
I knew I'd touched the hands of time.
For one pure moment, I was me:
Perfect, whole; serenity.
A child of Hope, my final fate,
In the arms of angels,
at Heaven's Gate.
~unknown~
May God charge his Angels to tenderly hold, comfort and guide you through all your sorrow filled days and your darkest nights.
Many Blessings,

I didn't know her, but my heart breaks for her family. You will all be in my prayers. She seemed like a beautiful young person full of promise. I wanted to leave this poem because it reminds me of the innocence that she had.
Through The Eyes of a Child
Do you remember when a leaf on a stream was a ship at sea?
We would go sailing you and me.
Fireflies that we caught in a jar,
We dreamed they were shooting stars
The summers would last forever,
Hand in hand we ran together
Where did it go?
Want to see the world once more
Through the eyes of a child
Free and Wild
A miracle in every smile
The eyes of Child I can see
Lord your love for me
Such daydreamers we could almost touch the stars at night
Find your treasure in heaven, burning bright
Did we leave it all behind
If we look can we still find
The summer will last forever
Hand in hand we'll run together
Just you and me
Once again I want to see.....
Through the eyes of a child
Free and Wild
A miracle in every smile
The eyes of Child I can see
Lord your love for me
Dear Mrs Pelasara and Mr Behl,
I wanted to let you know, that Taylor's death is hard on all of us. I was an Au Pair in the US and knew her from the Vienna Starbucks. Last Christmas I gave her German pens; we call them fineliners. She told me once that she liked those. Now everytime I see one I have to think of her. I have never seen a girl so happy about some colored pens. Yesterday night I couldn't sleep, because I had to think that it is her birthday today. What I meant to say is, that, if I already feel terrible, I can't imagine how you must be feeling. I can't be there at the funeral, but I will light a candle tonight for her birthday.
I wish you two the best and hope that her abductor gets the punishment he deserves.
Yours sincerely,

Eternal Love
To my Dearest Family, somethings I'd like to say,
First of all to let you know that I arrived okay.
I am writing this from heaven where I dwell with God Above
Where there's no more tears or sadness, there is just eternal love.
Please don't be unhappy just because I'm out of sight,
Remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you, when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said "I welcome You.
Its good to have you back again, you were missed while you were gone,
For your dearest family, they will be here later on.
I need you here so badly as part of my big plan.
There's so much that we have to do to help our mortal man."
Then God gave a list of things he wished for me to do,
And most on that list of mine is to watch and care for you
And I will be beside you every day and week and year,
And when you're sad, I am standing there to wipe away the tears.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight,
God and I are closest to you in the middle of the night.
When I think of my life on earth and all those Loving years,
Because you're only human, they are bound to bring you some tears.
Please do not be afraid to cry, it does relieve the pain,
Remember there would be no flowers unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you of all that God has planned,
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is over,
I am closer to you now than I ever was before.
And to my very many freinds, trust God knows what's best,
I'm still not a day away from you, I am just beyond the crest.
There are rocky roads ahead of you, and many hills to climb,
But together we can do it taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you, too.
That as you give unto the world, so the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow or in pain,
Then you can say to God at night, "My day was worthwhile,
Knowing as I passed along the way. I made somebody smile."
So if you meet somebody who is down and feeling low,
Just lend a hand to pick him up as your on your way to go.
When you are walking down the street and you've got me on your mind,
I am walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when you feel that
Gentle breeze or the wind upon your face,
That's me giving you a great big hug
or just a soft embrace
And when it is time for you
to go from that body to be free,
Remember you are not going, you are coming here to me.
And I will always love you
From that land up above.
We'll be in touch again soon
P.S God sends his love

To the Mom and Dad of Taylor Behl:
I would like to tell you both how so very sorry we are for your loss. I cannot imagine your loss. I have only one child and cannot fathom him being taken from me. I have followed your pain from the beginning and how I prayed that the outcome would be different. I am so so sorry to both of you. I live in New Kent, Virginia not far from VCU. I looked everyday for Taylor's car during my travels and on the busy road out front of my house. GOD BLESS YOU and all your family members at this time. You will all be forever in my heart.

I'm Phil, a Senior Chief in the USN here in Norfolk, and I just wanted to take the time to express my sorrow over Taylor. I have one child, a daughter Amy, who's the joy of my life, and if something happened to her, I would just cease to exist. There's a special place in Hell for the animal who did this. On August 14th, Shellie Carson, a quiet 18 year old girl in my church, was brutally murdered. Her case is unsolved. Her mother and my wife are very good friends, and thru her I found out about an organization here called parents of murdered children. They have helped her a lot. Please take care of yourself, and you are in my prayers.

I too was 17 just 2 short years ago, and I can not even begin to imagine the pain and suffering you all are enduring [at this] difficult time. However, I hope you find some comfort knowing you're in the arms of an Amazing Angel now. I'm sure you are well aware of how many lives you're Beautiful Daughter, Friend, & Relative have touched: may that also continue to be of some comfort.

To the family of Taylor Behl,
My deepest symathies and condolances for your family today. I am a senior at VCU and have followed your daugthers case since it went public. I am so sorry for your loss. We all know Taylor is in a better place now, she's an angel looking over all of us. Somethings just don't make sense as to why they happen yet, they do and its not fair. Your daugther has impacted the whole VCU campus and Richmond community. You have been in my prayers every night since I first found out about the case, and you will continue to be. Please find comfort and assurance that your beautiful daugther will recieve justice. The person who did this to her will pay and recieve what's coming their way. Justice will be served so that this person will never be able to hurt another beautiful young girl again. GOD BLESS!

To the Family of Taylor-
I wanted to tell you that I am truly sorry for what has happened. I am sending you all my love and my sorrows for you. I met Taylor on MySpace and she was so sweet and she left me so many comments about my pictures and my daughter's and now I cry everytyme I read them. She always told me she would be by my side. And If I ever needed her, she would be there. She is still in my heart, mind, body, and soul and most of all she is at my side.
Again.I am truly sorry.

TO TAYLOR'S FAMILY AND FRIENDS:
I, like so many others, prayed everyday for Taylor's safe return home. I, like so many others, didn't know Taylor personally, but came to know her thru the news, and media. She became a part of our daily lives. We all hurried home in hopes of turning on the TV to find out that she had been found alive and safe. And then the day comes when we all get the news that no one wanted to hear, that she was found murdered. Sometimes our will is not that of God's. He had another plan for Taylor. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family that you will lean on the Lord for Strength and understanding so He can lead you through this overwhelming loss.

I never had the opportunity to know Taylor. I too heard of her story through myspace.com. The overflow of support of people from all over the country, especially on myspace really is incredible. Over the past month I felt like I had gotten to known her and I prayed for her safe return everyday. I am so, so sorry for your loss and am deeply saddened. I cried when I heard the news. I hope that you can all begin the healing process. Missing her will never stop, I understand that. Know that there is someone here whose heart you will always be in.
Rest in Peace Taylor Behl.

To All of Taylor's Family and Friends,
I, along with the nation, send my deepest condolences. As I type this with tears in my eyes, I know my words are a tiny bit of sand compared to all the well wishes that have been sent. Yet, I feel the need to write. There really are no words that can make any of this feel better. There are no prayers that will bring her back. There are no songs that capture her beauty. With that, please know a nation sees your pain, and hurts too. We want to help, but can only watch. We are grieving along side of you. We are here to listen. To care. To fight. Whatever you may need, call on us for we are here, for today and tomorrow.
With my deepest sorrow,

To Taylor's Mom & Family -
I remember when I first learned of Taylor's disappearance, I just wanted to get in my car and drive down to Richmond to help try to find her. I have a college freshman and can relate to the whirlwind of excitement about their future, and the anticipation in the months prior to their leaving for school. I can't even begin to imagine what you are going through. I am sickened by this awful tragedy - I will never forget her bright eyes and gorgeous smile - I bet they lit up the room when she entered. I am praying for your family in this time of loss and may God comfort you and give you strength. Recently, when I was driving home from visiting my son at college, I passed the exit for Vienna with tears streaming down my cheeks - I said a prayer for all of you. God Bless -

Dear Friends and Family of Taylor,
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of grieving. Trust that God has Taylor in His arms where she feels nothing but happiness. He is reaching out to you with His arms to cradle you. We are all praying for you.

To 'Teenie' Janet & to Taylor's Daddy . . .
My heart breaks daily for you, and my soul cries always now for Taylor. I don't know how to accept what has been done to a long-ago friend, to her daughter, and to that daughter's Daddy; moreover, I have no concept whatsoever of what your lives are like now. I wish I could go back to the days of our little-girl friendship and set in motion for you all a life that would have no such thing as this in it. But I will carry you all in my heart and my head; I will cry to God for His love to overwhelm you. I send all the love I can to you and to Taylor's relatives. My family will always care and will always, always have open arms of love should any of you ever need us.

First of all I would like to express thanks to all Taylors friend who are taking the time to post all of these messages on MySpace. Obviously she was someone special and touched the lives of many. I have been on her page for over an hour reading all the memorials to Taylor and have been in and out of tears. I cry for her and all the other young girls who have had their lives so tragically taken from them.I also extend my tears to the family and I also feel their pain.
I am a single mother of 5 with one daughter and 4 boys. You wish you could be with your children 26 hours aday as they grow to keep bad things from happening them. But it just not possible. I have set new rules with my children that they do not like, but I hope that they are safe every day. Children do need to grow and experience things in their life to grow...good or bad. But these evil people seem to be growing with them and around us. Love your children with all you have and let them know that you love them...talk to them, warn them...but dont frighten them...us as parents need to stick together and at least try to make this world a better place by growing and loving our children as much and as often as we can.
Take care Taylor RIP and you know you are one of the prettiest angels I've ever seen....Say hi to both sets of my grandparents, my baby brother Danny (he's only 4-mo old), and my best friend Paul--tell him his son looks just as good as he does--he'd like that. Bless everyone who may need a little blessing down here also.Take care---You will be remembered.

To Taylor's Mother 1st, because there is nothing in the world like a child's mom, no matter the age of the child........
Everything you ever were to Taylor, did for, hoped for and felt for Taylor, everything you ever shared with Taylor and she with you, is still, and always will be there in your heart and with her in Heaven. And let us not forget the love you two gave to one another ~ that love still remains with you both forever! A child is only lent to us by God for a short time before we must let her go into the world to grow into her own “"person". To experience life to it’s fullest and make others happier while she is there.
It is truly a sin before God, a crime before our justice system, that any person could ever feel that this is something he/she should ever do to another human being. And there is NEVER an excuse, NEVER a reason for it to be justified, EVER! No one, ever, anywhere, should take the life and breath from another living being! No matter what! That is God"s choosing, when He feels that it is time for that person's soul to enter His kingdom.
To Taylor's Father too, because you were most certainly a wonderful part of her life........
Remember that she was your little girl & no other man could she call "Dad." Keep in your heart the simple times you two had, and the times she looked (up) at you in amazement because you were the biggest and best man in her life. Love her always because she was and still is yours ~ in your heart.
A final message to you both as I know you are grieving. I feel very deep empathy for you because I, too, lost a loved one to the hands of someone who felt the right to take someone else's life. I lost my closest sibling, (age 37, in 1983) a brother, a wonderful, fun-loving man. He was intelligent and loved life - lived it to it's fullest. My other siblings grieve too. And the worst part of it was that our Mother was alive to go through this. To this day, my family has never known if the person(s) who committed this evil act has ever been punished by God.
Please pray for the end to the crimes by this person or persons. Pray that they can never see the light of day again, but remain in a dark cell forever.
My heart goes out to you.....
Sincerely,
RHW

To all,
Let me begin by sending my thoughts & prayers to all who know Taylor, [her] family, friends, and ones who didn't, but found it in their hearts to post their condolences. I am so sad beyond words that Taylor is gone, & I am so sad for her family's loss and everyone’s sorrow.
No words could ease the pain of losing Taylor and even though I wish there was a way, there's nothing we can do can bring her back. We can only remember her and embrace her in our hearts and in our memories She touched so many people who knew her and now thousands more who didn't. She is safe from this evil place and I pray everyday for her peace and her family's inner strength.

What else can be said that has not already been said? There are no different words I can find to use that would express the sadness I feel any better way than the words I've read so far. Taylor's spirit seemed to dance in her eyes -she has captured so many hearts.

I've heard what happened through the MySpace network, as someone sent her profile to my friend, and my friend sent it to me.
Several minutes of looking at her photos and reading her words were enough to transform the story of "someone died" to "someone I know died." Now, after I've read the news reports and what people said about her before and after what happened, I feel like she's not that far away. Her life and the people who love her so much, touched my life in a way. I am writing this so the family and friends will know that Taylor's story is important to many people across the world. I am certain that many people will gain a new perspective to life through her; like I just did.

I can just picture Taylor cruising around Heaven on a golden skateboard. Safe and happy, where nothing can harm her ever again.
Hey,Tay! Give Saint Peter a “high 5” for me!
I’d really like to have Taylor’s parents meet my friend, Cassandra, a nursing student at the Universaity of Eastern Kentucky. She’s the
spitting image of Taylor, and, from what I’ve read about Taylor, they have VERY similar personalities. Cassandra is one of the sweetest, most loving people that you’d ever want to meet, vand that’s just what I’ve heard about Taylor. This case has torn me up inside very badly, in large part, because of the similarites. I wish I’d known Taylor. I’m proud to know Cassandra.

To Taylor's parents,
My son will be 18 on Nov. 6th, he too is an only child. He is attending school at James Madison University and we live in Fairfax. We miss him so much and he is only 125 miles away from us. We talk to him everyday and he comes home almost every weekend. From the very first announcement that Taylor was missing, I've felt such a strong connection to you.
I wish I could pass along some consoling words, but I can't find the words to really express my feelings. So I will just say, I am so very sorry for loss. Always keep Taylor's beautiful, smiling face in your memory and she will live on through both of you. Even though we don't know each other, if you ever need or want to talk about anything, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Hi,
I never knew Taylor but a friend of mine posted what happened on my bulletin board on MySpace. It has affected so many people even those who did not know her. My name is Meagan Stewart and I live in NY. My deepest and most heartfelt condolences go out to all her friends, family, and to anyone else who this has affected. This tragedy has brought more than a few tears to my eyes and I didn’t even know her. She was only 2 years younger than me and it hits hard. I lost a friend tragically last year as well so I know how much it hurts. I wish I had gotten the chance to find [Taylor] on MySpace and meet her because she seemed like such an awesome person. Her life was taken way before her time but I know that she is up there somewhere watching over all her loved ones so that they will always stay safe. Just remember that every draft of air you feel on your cheek, every time the sun beams down on your face that’s Taylor letting you know that she's still here in spirit watching over you. May she Rest in Peace and continue smiling down on us from up above. I'm so sorry for your loss.
Sincerely,
Meagan Stewart

Many people come in and out of our lives and some are taken from us. Whatever the case may be, as to whether they leave by choice, or are taken, it is never easy to say goodbye. We cannot say how sorry we are and we can't replace the loved one that you have lost, but what we can do is give away a poem that has touched our hearts and made everything just a tiny bit easer.
Condolences from Ronda, Sara, and Alicia from Los Angeles, California.
MISS ME BUT LET ME GO
When I come to the end of the road,
and the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room,
why cry for a soul set free.
Miss me a little, but not too long,
and not with your head bowed low,
Remember the love that we once shared,
Miss me a little, but let me go.
For this is the journey that we all must take,
and each must go alone,
it's all apart of the Master's plan
A step on the road to home.
So when you are alone and sick at heart,
go to the friends we know and bury your sorrows
in doing good deeds,
Miss me, but let me go.

FOR A MURDERED FRIEND
by J.W.Kelley
dedicated to an angel named Taylor
Stark, white emptiness
where your warmth used to be
All the happy, good times
now just a memory
The godless act that took you
The stroke of evil’s whim
also took a part of me
Tearing a hole within
An open wound that never heals
still burns, still festers, still bleeds
with the knowledge that you are gone
while your killer still breathes
But in the end,as always,
We get what is deserved
In this world, or the next
Justice will be served
I didn’t know Taylor Behl, but her death really affected me. The day I read about her death I wished the murderer should be put to death on that day too.
And he will INSALLAH

Taylor you seem like a person who I would have loved to have known; and I'm sorry that this happend to you. I [think] that the man that did this to you should be sent to Texas so we can kill him because I don't know how some one could have hurt some one as beautiful as you. I wish I could have known you.

Taylor was a beautiful girl. My sympathies and prayers are with all of you at this time. I also pray for true justice to be done in the case of her murderer. Taylor deserves that.
Taylor touched our lives for but a few brief years and she stole our hearts. She was so full of energy, life and love we simply cannot believe she has now gone. Our deep sympathy, prayers and love go out to Janet and all who now mourn Taylor.

LAMPLIGHT SYMPHONY
by Kerry Livgren
recorded by Kansas
lyrics slightly adapted by John Kelley
On a winter's night, stars are cold and bright in the sky,
The slumber of the earth is pure and deep
From a distant wood, drifts the echo of a beast
Janet stirs and wakens in the night
She stands before the window of her daughter’s room
Forgotten dreams are flashing through her weary mind
And though her life is empty, she pretends Taylor's still there
With hunger in her soul, she yearns for love gone by,
With memories the one and only joy
All she has to give, she gladly would give to bring back the life,
And raise the one who lies beneath the snow
She lights a lamp and looks at pictures of the past
Their faces still glow with love,
But they’re only pictures, evil has stolen her away
With a spoken word that she knew she heard from her lips,
She felt another presence in the room,
Filled with fear, but filled with joy,she arose
And turned to face the image that she knew
Taylor stood before her and her arms reached out in love
Peaceful light shone in her eyes
She said she'd come to soothe her,and that someday they'd be as one
[totally awesome instrumental break]
Taylor began to fade, and slowly disappeared,
So Janet was left alone to face the night,
Never in her life had she been so held in awe,
As she faced the apparition of her child
She stood before the window of her daughter’s room
And with a lightened heart, she saw the first of dawn,
She knew Taylor was waiting, and that someday they'd be as one.
